A multi-function Delphi 3&4 control that features automatic mouse tracking and pop-open hidden panels! A 3-pane panel that allows mouse-based access to one of its panels (the Menu pane), which is normally hidden on one of the sides of the TTriPane container.  This allows users to streamline their interfaces by placing important controls into a hidden pane that can be accessed by moving the mouse toward it (it pops open to reveal the controls on it).  Meanwhile, the other two panes, a Header pane and a Client pane, remain visible at all times.  Using this "hidden area" scheme, it is possible to greatly improve the 2-dimensional area available for the normal operation of applications, while keeping an area that contains important functionality, such as control buttons, only a flick of the wrist away, and not relying on clumsy solutions such as deep menus or confusing icon toolbars.

SlickTools Component Suite
Develop slicker apps faster with SlickTools Delphi components! This suite includes:
  • TGrabHandler: A design-time component that makes grabbing nested panels a snap.
  • TMenuBar: A control which mimicks the MSOutlook bar plus more.
  • TMultiPane: A full-featured paging panel that supports direct access of its multiple panes (panels) via the right-click context menu at design-time.
  • TScrollToolBar: A scrolling component bar.
  • TTriPane: A multi-function control that features automatic mouse tracking and pop-open hidden panels.
All components are compatible with Delphi versions 3&4.

TScrollToolBar - A Delphi (3,4) scrolling component bar
More than just a simple toolbar, TScrollToolBar is a scrolling component bar.  Vastly more functional than ordinary button-only toolbars, TScrollToolBar permits any visual control to be dragged and dropped into the ScrollToolBar at design-time, managing that control's coordinates to maintain proportional spacing between it and other controls in the TScrollToolBar.  TScrollToolBar may be used in either horizontal or vertical operation. If the ScrollToolBar shrinks below a user-specified minimum height/width per component, scrolling arrows appear where necessary to permit access of components that can no longer fit within the new dimensions.  Scrolling can be either linear or circular, the latter causing the ScrollToolBar to function as a sort of component rolodex, where scrolling from the last component brings the first component up as the next in line.

A full-featured Delphi (3,4) paging panel that supports direct access of its multiple panes (panels) via the right-click context menu at design-time.
TMultipane is a full-featured paging panel that supports direct access of its multiple panes (panels) via the right-click context menu at design-time, and offers several improvements over controls such as TPageControls for implementing stacked 2-dimensional panel spaces.
At design time -- use MultiPane instead of a TPageControl (with its tabs hidden) when you want to economize space within the form designers of your Delphi--or component-compatible--code editor.  At runtime -- easily display specific panes using only the TopPaneIndex property. No separate tabsheet activepage name is required (as would be with a PageControl)
Adding, deleting, and selecting new panes is simple, using only the context menu.

A Delphi (3,4) control which mimicks the MSOutlook bar plus more!
A new kind of button control somewhat patterned on Microsoft's "Outlook" sliding buttonbar but with many distinct improvements and unique features.  When clicked, buttons can either trigger a click event or "slide" upwards to reveal a fully functional panel below the active button.  It supports design-time drag & drag drop of any component onto active panels -- not just text or icon objects through property editors like other components. Controls on the active panel remain visible until another button is selected.  TMenuBar is ideal for situations where multiple sets of controls need to be shown & hidden depending upon an active button selection, just like Outlook's sliding button area.

A Delphi (3,4) design-time component that toggles a BorderWidth on and off (on TCustomPanels) to a user-controlled width, in effect placing a border area (GrabHandle) in those TCustomPanels.  This makes it significantly easier, compared to using the Esc key, to select these controls with the mouse pointer, especially when the TCustomPanels contain child controls which occupy their entire client area.  TGrabHandler automatically resets the BorderWidths when the application is run.
