There are two categories of file on DSP:
freeware
shareware
By FreeWare upload I undestood file that can be used freely by any person
for developing software ( executables ) without any restrictions ( excluding
creation of compete product or using software as their property ).
Please do note that FreeWare doesn't mean that FreeWare authors do not
retain copyright. Of course they do. You just can use this software free of charge
for any purpose ( ie creating FreeWare / Shareware / Commercial software ).
It is a matter of good behaviour to appreciate FreeWare authors by listing them
in your product descriptions.
All files that are NOT free by above definition are considered to be shareware, thus
- time-limited trials
- IDE-limited trials ( runs only from compiler IDE )
- nagware ( displays registration messages when run )
- conditional FreeWare eg free for freeware development
should be added into SHAREWARE area. Period.
